Location Description The Post Consumer Brands plant in Asheboro, NC is the newest addition to the company's network, featuring some of the most modern cereal production technology in the industry and the facility has quadrupled in size since it opened in 2007.
Asheboro's 230
team members produce some of our newest and most innovative cereals, like Oreo O's cereal! While there is plenty to do right in Asheboro, the town is only a few hours from the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the other direction.

12-hour & 10 minute shifts (5:
30pm to 5:
40am) following a 2-2-3 schedule (Week one:
two days on, two days off, three days on.
Week two:
two days off, two days on, three days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work.
Job Activities/Duties:
Operates and monitors production equipment, shipping, receiving, finished product storage or staging materials and supply replenishment.
Identifying and correcting routine and repetitive upset conditions.
Requires good decision making and mechanical skills while performing daily tasks and working safely.
oPerform all production equipment operations and production related tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
oChange over all related equipment.
oPerform repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
oMaintain clean work areas, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areas.
oPerform expanded list of quality checks on raw ingredients, intermediate and finished products, and packaging materials.
oRecord production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as required.
oProvide assistance in all related areas and participate in all activities of the Team.
oUnderstand production reports and plan ahead to maximize efficiency of Team and equipment.
oAssist in other areas of the plant upon request.
oParticipate in special projects/assignments/committees.
oWork with various support staff effectively, and communicate pertinent information to other Team Members and shifts.
oCoordinate shift activities related to production.
oParticipate in all training activities of the Team as required.
oPerform a variety of audits as required.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Manufacturing or related experience is preferred Skills:
oIntermediate level mechanical knowledge to include the ability to understand the operation of department equipmentoIntermediate level math skills for calculations and conversionsoAbility to work within a team environment and communicate effectively and efficiently within the teamoAbility to use basic hand and power toolsoAbility to follow detailed work instructionsoMust be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language Other Requirements:
