Position Summary The Assistant Quality Manager is a highly valued member of the Fibertex Personal Care team and is responsible for critical activities including coordinating the implementation, auditing, managing, and continuous improvement of quality management systems throughout the production process to ensure that products and services are consistent with Fibertex Personal Care s established standards, customer and product specifications, and production goals.
Responsibilities Under direct supervision of Quality Manager, assist with development of quality training for employees.
Conduct and prepare Quality related metrics for review (Non-Conforming Material Report, Customer Complaints, Returned Merchandise Authorization, and Scrap Percentages) including maintenance and review of leading and lagging indicators of quality.
Under direct supervision of Quality Manager, review new customer or product specification prior to acceptance and setup in Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Review local and global procedures/Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for improvement and revision.
Oversee activities related to internal audits, customer audits, and third-party quality control and assurance audits.
Track non-compliance and timely closing of non-conformances found through audits.
Report to the Head of Departments, Quality Manager, Quality and Environmental Engineer and/or Managing Director to obtain guidance on developing corrective actions and verifying the implementation of these.
Handle customer complaint with solid root cause analysis, validation of changes and perform risk assessment for product retrieval from customers.
Analyze/review effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions.
Ensure waste management and quality management procedures are properly implemented, documented, and in compliance with Fibertex, local authorities and customer requirements.
Responsible for product acceptance and disposition (release for shipment or scrap) to ensure product quality conforms to customer requirements and local legal compliance.
Support quality improvement initiatives including process and product characterizations that lead to continuous / cost improvements, ensure compliance with requirements from customers, authorities and corporate standards.
Apply knowledge and implementation experience of ISO 9001 standards in manufacturing environment.
Apply hands-on experience in quality techniques including statistical process control (histogram or Anova test), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), inspection systems, calibration systems, and design of experiments.
Provide presentations in writing and in person up and down the organizational hierarchy to include corporate and cross-functional teams.
Use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to develop reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Determine and recommend lab equipment and consumable items to be purchased based on the product portfolio to be produced, lab testing requirement and project budgets.
Support and facilitate trials, develop samples, and prepare trial reports.
Well verse with change control management (IQ, PQ, OQ etc.
) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, related field or equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience.
Certification in internal quality auditor and/or Six Sigma Green Belt.
Must possess knowledge and implementation experience of ISO 9001 standards in manufacturing environment.
Overseeing activities related to internal, customer, and third-party quality control and assurance audits in hygiene or engineering manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in quality techniques including statistical process control (histogram or Anova test), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), inspection systems, calibration systems, and design of experiments.
Pose proactive mindset rather than reactive Strong computer experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and the ability to develop reports, spreadsheets, and presentations required.
